Jennifer Lawrence interview for Hunger Games!

Lawrence was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Karen (née Koch), who runs a children's camp, and Gary Lawrence, who once owned a concrete construction firm, Lawrence & Associates. She acted in church plays and, by the age of 14, had decided to pursue an acting career, persuading her parents to take her to New York City to find a talent agent. Although she had no training or experience, she received high praise from the agency for which she auditioned. She graduated from high school two years early in order to begin a career in acting.

Island is an upcoming 2011 British disaster-thriller film, directed by Rehan Malik and produced by Leon Hady. Documenting the breakdown of a society of teenagers while they are trapped inside a school, the film is comparable in style to Williams Golding's 1954 novel Lord of the Flies. Among a young ensemble cast, the film stars Gabriella Montrose, Matthew Ferdenzi, Robbie Curran, Thomas James Longley and Lauren Kellegher, and is currently scheduled to premiere at the end of 2011, before going onto film festivals in 2012. The world has been almost completely devastated by nuclear war. Inside a now all but desolate school building, a small group of teenage students, unaware of what is going on outside, await the return of their group leaders. As time passes and no one comes back for them, the children's suspicions arise. While some attempt to build order until rescue comes, a few begin to re-discover their natural animal instincts.
